Bankbrokers is delighted to announce its newest UK Partner, Richard Meddelton BA, MBA, FCIB, DipFS. Richard immediately joins the team to lead our Debt Advisory service in the UK and Ireland.
Decades of expertise and experience
Richard is a senior banker with 35 years of experience in leadership and client-facing roles. Including credit within Barclays, RBS, Santander and, most recently, Lloyds Banking Group. In addition, Richard has significant experience in credit and risk in the UK and complements our existing skill-sets.
Throughout his career, Richard has worked with many mid to large-sized companies, Corporations and Professional Services Firms. (inc PLCs, LLPs and Government Bodies) In addition, he has gained experience across a wide variety of sectors in the UK. Also, Richard has gained a unique perspective on how to best structure deals to make them attractive and easy to approve by all banks’ Credit Risk teams. He has extensive experience in creating financial roadmaps, arranging complex debt structures and coordinating debt management.

Rickard has extensive debt advisory experience from 20+ years at JP Morgan, SEB, Nordea and Handelsbanken. He has since become our CEO for Sweden and now champions Debt Advisory services across the group from our offices in Stockholm.

Debt Advisory Services are a key business requirement for many of our group clients. The Covid pandemic and invasion of Ukraine in particular have only served to generate a greater need for financial support for many companies in addition to the normal flow of financing project.
As a result, we’re seeing a steep increase in the number of debt financing project requests we receive across all markets. As such, it’s a great time to beef-up our bench-strength in Debt Advisory capabilities in the UK. Richard’s experience is deep in credit and risk in the UK and complements our existing skill-sets.
