Sahani is an MSc Data Science graduate with expertise in evaluating business and organisational procedures and recommending new technological changes.
She is a data-driven business analyst with a track record of utilising her research skills to grow a firm by expanding its consumer base and making a significant impact on her previous project teams. She enjoys challenges and embraces them as opportunities in her life to become stronger.
Sahani has been fascinated with mathematics and computer science since an early age. In 2007, 2008, and 2009, she achieved National Merit Awards in the “Young Computer Scientist-Sri Lanka” competition and advanced to the finals of “IT Master Mind National Quiz Competition” in 2013.
She was motivated to study data science because she wanted to learn more about machine learning, big data engineering, etc. She was accepted for an MSc in Data Science at the University of South Wales and migrated to the UK in 2021 with her family. She successfully completed the industry research project, “Using Natural Language Processing to review Social Prescribing Literature,” and collaborated with Wales School for Social Prescribing Research Network (WSSPR) with a distinction.
